Canva QR Real Estate
How I Built a Real Estate QR Code App in Minutes (And Why It Matters More Than Ever)
I wasn’t trying to build a real estate app.
I was just testing out Canva’s new AI Dev Suite feature—the one that says it can "code for you" if you give it a clear enough prompt.
So I gave it one:
"Create a QR code generator for real estate agents—one code per MLS listing—that collects listing data and can send it to my spreadsheet."
Before I could finish typing in a sample address, the tool was done. App created. QR codes ready. It even gave me a working dashboard to test it out.
That’s when I brought in ChatGPT. And the magic dialed up even further.
What ChatGPT Suggested Next
After seeing what Canva's AI could build, I asked ChatGPT: "How could I enhance this?"
It had ideas:
Add your agency's logo and contact info to every QR result page
Track which listings get the most scans, and when
Integrate with Numerous.ai to automatically sort and display data
Share insights with your sellers to show real-time listing performance
What began as a “just for fun” test became a real estate marketing tool in minutes.
Why This Matters for Real Estate Agents
QR codes are more than just shortcuts. When used right, they’re:
Lead magnets
Branding tools
Conversation starters
Proof of performance
Here’s what this tool actually did:
🛠️ What Canva's AI Built:
Created a unique QR code generator for each MLS listing
Included input fields for property address, price, and more
Instantly generated QR codes that agents can use on signs, flyers, or digital listings
🤖 How ChatGPT Took It Further:
Suggested adding the agent’s logo and contact info for on-brand professionalism
Offered scan-tracking features to reveal which listings are getting the most attention
Proposed integrating data into Numerous.ai or CRMs for smarter follow-up
🧠 Why It Matters:
QR codes aren’t just convenient—they’re modern lead magnets
Sellers want data. This gives you a way to deliver it, clearly and confidently
Most agents still aren’t doing this—but you can
Imagine telling your sellers:
“Your property got 83 scans this week. Here’s how we compare to the neighborhood average.”
Now you’re not just another agent. You’re the one with the data—and the edge.
This is no longer just about marketing. It’s about visibility, credibility, and being the tech-savvy agent your clients already assume you are.

Coming Up Next: Live in LA
In a couple of weeks, I’ll be in Los Angeles giving a live presentation on how AI is reshaping the real estate industry—from personalized marketing to smart listing insights.
If you’re in the area (or want to send a friend!), reach out. I’d love to connect in person.
Final Thought
This week wasn’t all clear skies and easy wins. I had my own moments of doubt. But I kept creating—sometimes from a place of uncertainty, sometimes just for the joy of it.
Even when you’re not sure where it’s leading, keep going. Even if you’re just experimenting with AI, trust that it’s leading somewhere. Curiosity isn’t a distraction—it’s the beginning of innovation.
If you think this is amazing... take a deep breath. Because we're just getting started. There's so much more to come--and you won't want to miss what's next.
Curiously yours,
– Terza
